Wallace State Dominates Lawson at Home
 
                     Hanceville, Ala. – Wallace State Community College men's and women’s basketball teams secured impressive
                        wins at home against Lawson State
                     
                     Lady Lions win 68-41
                     
                     The Lady Lions struck first in their 68-41 win over Lawson State, building a commanding
                        lead in the first half and maintaining control throughout the game.
                     
                     Kallie Tinker led Wallace State’s offensive attack with 23 points, shooting 5-of-8
                        from beyond the arc. Idaysia Mercer contributed a well-rounded performance, recording
                        a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Nylaa Fuller was a force
                        in the paint, securing 14 rebounds and adding 10 points.
                     
                     Wallace State’s defense stifled Lawson State, holding them to just 25.5 percent shooting
                        from the field and forcing 13 turnovers. The Lions dominated the boards, out rebounding
                        their opponents 49-30, and displayed excellent ball movement with 12 assists.
                     
                     Lions outpace Lawson State 98-72
                     
                     The Lions delivered a commanding performance on their home court, defeating Lawson
                           State Community College 98-72 at Traditions Bank Arena. The Lions took control early
                           and never looked back, outscoring Lawson State 53-33 in the second half to secure
                           the decisive win.
                        
                        Kami Young led Wallace State with 22 points, displaying his offensive versatility
                           with efficient shooting and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Kendarius
                           Anderson added 16 points, while Antonio Cochran contributed 10, knocking down two
                           three-pointers. Christian Thompson was a dominant presence inside, grabbing nine rebounds
                           and scoring eight points in just 15 minutes of play.
                        
                        Wallace State's depth proved to be a major advantage, as the bench combined for 37
                           points. Authur Johnson was a key contributor, scoring 13 points on an impressive 6-of-8
                           shooting. The Lions also excelled at the free-throw line, converting 88.9% of their
                           attempts.
                        
                        Defensively, Wallace State forced eight turnovers and held Lawson State to just 34.2%
                           shooting from the field. Despite a strong effort from DaSean Sellers (14 points) and
                           Michael Jones (12 points), Lawson State struggled to keep pace with Wallace State’s
                           offensive firepower.
