About the Course
The Medication Assistant course at Wallace State trains students to safely administer medications in healthcare settings under the supervision of licensed nurses. Students learn safe medication preparation, measuring prescribed doses (within scope), administration techniques, infectious disease control, documentation, patient safety protocols, and communication with patients, families, and the care team.
