About the Course
The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course is designed for healthcare professionals and others who need to know how to perform CPR and other lifesaving skills in clinical settings. Through hands-on instruction, students learn to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants, perform high-quality CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide effective team-based resuscitation. Upon successful completion, participants receive the AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification, a credential required by many healthcare employers.
