About the Course
Students explore the fundamentals of veterinary assisting while gaining an introduction to working in animal care settings. Course topics include animal handling and restraint, basic anatomy and physiology, infection control, kennel and clinical care, safety procedures, veterinary terminology, and effective communication with pet owners and veterinary teams. This is a hybrid course, combining online theory with an in-person lab that provides hands-on experience with essential veterinary assisting skills and practical application in a clinical setting.
