About the Test
The Wallace State Professional Testing Center is an authorized CLEP testing site. CLEP exams allow individuals to earn college credit by demonstrating knowledge gained through prior learning, work experience, military service, or independent study. Passing a CLEP exam may help students save time and tuition by earning college credit before taking a course.

Free Study Resources
Wallace State Library:
Students with an A-number can access free CLEP study materials through Mometrix and PrepSTEP. Community members may use these resources by visiting the Wallace State Library (92 Lions Way, Hanceville, AL 35077).

Modern States:
Free CLEP courses and opportunities to earn a free CLEP exam voucher through Modern States. 

Registration Process

Step 1: Purchase Your CLEP Test Ticket
Purchase your CLEP Test Ticket through College Board. Save your Test Ticket—you will need it to test.

Step 2: Pay the Proctor Fee
Complete your registration below and pay the $25 proctor fee. If you prefer to pay cash, please contact the Testing Center before your scheduled test date.

Step 3: Schedule Your Exam
After purchasing your CLEP Test Ticket and paying the proctor fee, contact Valerie Parris 256-352-8371, valerie.parris@wallacestate.edu to schedule your exam.

On Test Day Please Bring the Following:

  • CLEP Test Ticket
  • Valid, unexpired photo ID
  • Proof of proctor fee payment
